In our age of super graphics and super computers, sometimes the subtle style of black and white still works great.Photos in black and white definitely stand out and can really make aphotographic look perfect. The impact it makes on a photograph is outstanding.But there are definitely some techniques in knowing when it is a perfect time to use a black and white photo.

Well one of the best scenes to take some black and white photos are in a wedding.  As a San Diego wedding photographer it is one of the favorite photos couples love when I take them.It is really a contrast in a perfect style to all the shots in color.It can definitely enhance the scene to stand out.  As with most shots you really have to pay attention to the lighting to see how it will look. With digital cameras, the great thing is, you can really see if your lighting works for your black and white shot.

Another good time to use photos are for historical moments in people lives.A black and white photo can definitely help you so that you can capture the historical significance of the time.Big event like a graduation and moments like having a new baby surely do well in black and white.  As a San Diego photographer those are two events that really work well with that type of shot.

Another time is basically when you are capturing family photos.Usually, it is a history when big families gather together to take photos.  They are taking the time to capture that moment in time when the whole family is together.  This has worked well in my San Diego event photography service.On how they actually come out, families love truly and really capture that moment in time.

As you can see taking photos in color isn't the only way to take great pictures. With knowing when to take it in black and white can produce fantastic shots that people cherish forever.
